When the time comes for the annual holiday travel season more and more pet owners are looking for alternatives to the traditional kennel boarding services. Many dog and cat owners are willing to go the extra mile if it means their furry friends are kept in a comfortable and caring environment. Pet hotels and even doggy holiday resorts are becoming more and more popular and many offer a level of luxury to pets that exceeds what the owners themselves enjoy while away.

Requirements for Pet/s to Stay in PetsVentura Pet Hotel

Requirements :

Who may attend?

1) Dogs at least four (4) months of age2) Dogs who have been socialized 
    with other dogs
3) Dogs who are in good health (no fleas, ticks, or contagious illnesses)
4) No females in heat
5) Dogs who have the following vaccinations: Rabies

For the health and safety of our guests, all dogs and cats must have up-to-date records for all of the vaccinations.



Vaccinations must be administered at least 48 hours prior to arrival under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian.

We prefer that vaccinations be administered 10 days prior to check-in


Written proof of the following are required for all guests:









Dog Vaccinations:

DPP*	One or three year vaccine required
Bordetdella	Bordetdella Required every twelve months. Please note, many veterinarians administer this vaccine only by request.
Rabies	One or three year** vaccine required

The Thanksgiving Holiday period will cover the day before Thanksgiving Day through the Monday following Thanksgiving Day. The Christmas Holiday period will cover 
December 23 until January 2.

If your holiday reservation requires booking dates covered during these holiday periods, we will require 14 days' notice from the start date of your reservation to cancel without penalty. While we maintain a waiting list, the waiting list becomes obsolete as we get closer to the holiday period. 14 days' notice will give us sufficient opportunity to replace a cancelled reservation.

For example, if you book a Christmas reservation from the 21st of December until January 3rd, you would need to call to cancel no later than the end of our business day on December 7th.

If you must cancel within 14 days of your scheduled boarding reservation, you will be subject to a cancellation fee of US$50 per dog run booked and US$35 per cat cage booked. If you do not bother to cancel at all, you will be charged the entire booked stay

All reservations must be secured by a credit card. All cancellations must be done by Email.

Also, during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday periods, we will require 14 days' notice from the start date of the reservation to make any alterations of the boarding reservation dates. During these holiday periods we replace every pet going home with a scheduled incoming pet. Picking up early would free up a space that was turned away. Therefore, 14 days' notice is also required to shorten any boarding reservation during the holiday period.

Extending a stay will be accommodated when possible.

If you must pick up your pet earlier than your booked reservation, you will still be required to pay for the entire reservation that you are booked for.

You must also have a set pick up date. We can no longer accommodate either/or pick up days because we need to be able to determine availability to accommodate future incoming pets. You must therefore book your stay for the longest stay you think you will require.

Please bear in mind that bookings are subject to availability and contact us in good time prior to peak holiday periods.

Siempre que sea posible, el dueño debe visitar la residencia pues es la mejor manera de hacerse una idea de cómo se cuida a los animales. Es importante ver el lugar donde va a dormir. Algunas residencias alojan a las mascotas en jaulas, otras en casetas o en cuartos. Observando el comportamiento del resto de los animales, el dueño puede conocer la idoneidad el lugar en el que su perro o gato va a pasar estos días de vacaciones. Es imprescindible elegir un sitio en que los perros puedan correr por los jardines para que eliminen el nerviosismo que les provoca estar fuera de su casa. El objetivo es que los animales se sientan como en su propio hogar desde el primer día, por eso se debe buscar un alojamiento donde estén cómodos y felices.

Una de las exigencias que suele hacer la residencia antes de aceptar al animal es que tenga la cartilla de vacunación en regla. El cliente tiene que indicar cuál es la comida que el perro o el gato ingiere en casa para que en el hotel siga consumiendo la misma marca siempre que sea posible. A veces, en la residencia piden al dueño que lleve la comida para que el animal no note tanto el cambio. Si el perro o gato está medicado hay que hacérselo saber a los encargados y llevar los fármacos para que los cuidadores se los suministren. Y, por último, sería recomendable comentar el tipo de carácter de la mascota y los posibles miedos o traumas que pueda padecer para que se evite, en la medida de lo posible, que sufra.

Conviene dejar un número de contacto para que el hotel llame al propietario del perro ante cualquier incidencia. En el caso de que no le vaya a ser posible acudir, puede dejar el número de un familiar o amigo para que se haga cargo si surge cualquier problema. Tal vez, al principio, el animal se sienta solo y abandonado pero es una situación corriente y transitoria que pasa en poco tiempo porque enseguida suele hacer amigos. Normalmente es el amo quien pasa peor los días separado de su mascota y muchas veces está deseando volver. Pero el dueño no debe extrañarse si al regresar de las vacaciones encuentra a su perro más huraño que de costumbre, ya que el animal se ha sentido desplazado por unos días y con su comportamiento quiere hacérselo saber a quien le ha dejado solo durante las vacaciones. En menos de una semana volverá a ser el mismo.
